_collective

_underscore collective is new international partnership of work directed and designed by Leanne Vandenbussche and Rosalind Parker. They work with an interdisciplinary research-praxis hermeneutic, engaging creatives and specialists to realise site-specific works which expand the way that opera can be performed and experienced. Using classic text, they explore disrupting traditional audience-performer relationships and enable new ways of physically and acoustically engaging with opera. Alongside these innovative new projects, Leanne and Rosalind continue to nourish their professional development, having worked as assistants to; Annie Castledine, Annabel Arden, Hildegard Bechtler, Lizzie Clachan and Joanna Parker, and companies International Theatre Amsterdam and Complicite.
